On October 11th I take on the "Steps Towards a Cure" challenge by walking the Great Wall of China, not the whole 9000km but it will be a challenge none the less.  Last August I heard the words "you have breast cancer" and along with 40 other women who are disgnosed on a daily basis.  Believe me you cannot prepare yourself for hearing those 4 little words. Instantly I felt scared, lost and feared the unknown.  I had panic attacks and my world felt very strange and eerie.  With the help of my very close family and friends I was able to let go and trust that everything would be ok.  All the thoughts, prayers, lit candles and messages helped to support and carry me through one of the toughest times of my life. I now truly appreciate the little things and know Life is Precious!

Early detection of Breast Cancer is the key to survival, so please help me raise some money to assist the BCNA to ensure thousands of women have access to research, support, resources,treatment and care.  My challenge is to raise $10,000 and beyond for this great cause.  I welcome any contribution, even the smallest amount adds up to one big amount.
